Downloading Boris-for-Blackjack - Release 4.43

As of Christmas eve, I was hoping to have the latest Boris 4.43-C ready for Download. Unfortunately, a glitch in Microsoft's ActiveX technology (which otherwise is WONderful for Boris) has delayed the deployment of the new Blackjack Screen. You can be sure we are working on this and will have the new Boris online shortly after New Years. Stay Tuned, it will be worth the wait. Because of the new Blackjack Table screen design, I am expecting to make the next update Release 4.44.

Meanwhile, if you haven't already done so, be sure you are up-to-date with Boris 4.43.

BorisADV 4.43 (Release 2) is available for Download.
BorisPBJ, BorisPRO, BorisPRO+ are in final test and will be ready once the beta testers give me the good news.

By request, Boris 4.43 (Release 2) has implemented a number of last minute features, including some improvements to the Decision BAR along with the long-awaited Recent ENV File list on the container screen. The BorisInstaller.Exe (described below) now has a "Rename" Feature and the ability to view the READMe file before Installation..

By the end of the month, look for a URL-Link to Boris' new .Html Manual. When ready, the new Manual, will be available here from the D/L page, as well as being shipped with the CD Media.

The reported problem with the "Riverboat" Casino is being studied and will soon be fixed - probably an update to the Casino Database in Update 4.43c - Stay Tuned.

Boris continues to ungergo some crucial re-design "under the hood". We chose to do this now to make for an easier transition to Boris 4.43, 4.44 and 4.50. The Chip tray will allow chip-betting in Version 4.5. To find out more about this, go to Boris' new Update Schedule Page.

With Boris 4.43, at first you might not notice any changes until you look closely at the "File" Menus on both the Container Screen and the Blackjack Table Felt.
We moved the loading of Casinos and Casino Environments (.ENV's) to the Container Screen, because it logically makes more sense and opens the door for new features. In doing so, some of the Ctrl-Key sequences have changed; making them more "friendly", I think. The ReadME file details all the other enhancements/changes.

In the near-future, look for an upgraded version of this Download page with all manner of useful links including a first look at the new Boris Manual format in .HTML. The new Glossary and Help files will be previewed here first in June.

Like previous Releases, the latest Release contains numerous new advances, including: the new CardViewer (for PBJ and PRO Edition Users), accompanied by the House Advantage Calculator (HAC.Exe) for everybody's benefit.
4.43 enhances the Chip Betting Panel making it even easier to manually place your bets.

Noteably, the ShoeViewer.Exe has been renamed to the CardViewer.Exe to pave the way for the brand new ShoeViewer facility in the PRO+ Edition. Other than the name change, CardViewer.Exe retains all of its original features.

We would like your feedback on the new 4.43 Release,as we wrap up the work for the 4.43a Update and the latest Professional "Plus" Edition (In final acceptance testing).
If you have already installed Boris 4.41 or 4.42, you can probably, Update Boris with a (LITE) Version. However, when in doubt, download the 4.43 FULL Version.

This current Download brings a number of contemporary Blackjack game additions, such as the [sic] "ever-popular" 6:5 Blackjack game. This download ALSO marks the introduction of the new 4.43 BorisInstall.Exe - software installation assistant. (Click for Info)

The following table will keep you up-to-date on when your particular Edition of Boris was last updated. In general, the higher Editions have features added more frequently than the lower Editions; simply because there are more screens and therefore more possibilities for your ideas to be implemented. PLEASE READ:
Important Notice: To install Boris' Blackjack software, click on the new BorisInstall Icon added to the .ZIP file (instead of Setup.Exe).
BorisInstall.Exe will check for a older Versions of Boris.
Finding no conflicts, Setup.Exe will be started automatically.
If potential software installation conflicts are found, BorisInstall will pop up the Installation Screen. A NEW [x] Box and Menu Addition allows you to have the Installer RENAME the existing Boris Installation (preferred), rather than installing around it.
Simply click on the [Begin Software Installation] Button and the necessary preparations will be made before starting Setup.Exe.

(If the Installation Button is greyed out, it means BorisInstall.Exe did not find a .CAB file and is unable to determine which Edition of Boris you are about to install. Select the BorisEdition from the drop-down list to enable the Software Installation Button. Note - a missing .CAB file is indicative of one or more installation files missing. You should probably download and unzip the software again.)
